About Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University

Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU) is a prized institution of learning in the steel city, Bhillai. Although one of the recently formed Universities, – created in 2005 – CSVTU has quickly earned the name of providing updated knowledge with practical training and experience. The management, faculty, and administrative staff hope to provide efficient and quality-based learning – systematically.

Today, the University offers under-graduate, graduate, and post graduate courses in Engineering and technology, applied Science, Pharmacy, Architecture, management studies, and ecology. Around 50 types of degrees are provided to students under the guidance of UGC. The multiple technical courses are catered to the industrial need in the country. There are consultancy services, entrepreneual workmanship courses to ensure that students acquire practical knowledge along with their theory.

Many feel that the rise of CSVTU as a powerful educational institute is nothing surprising. The University was build under the ideology of Swami Vivekananda. The people associated with the learning institution firmly believe that education here builds character, mental strength is given a fillip, the intellect can increase the power of thinking – and, all this helps to build confidence among the students.

The University has been formed to churn professionals and competent workers in response to the growing changes in the technology. In order to suffice the technical manpower, quality-based learning, interactions with the industry, and mutual consultancy and testing services are accomplished by CSVTU. Additionally, it is also required to boost the internal resources in the corporate and business sector to ensure there is development and innovation in technology. The University also hopes to provide par excellent education like those provided by top International institutes.

CSVTU conducts seminars, technical workshops, programs and conferences on Nanotechnology and rural development. There are training programs on yoga, health and hygiene. Erudite from other Universities, industrial experts, and subject-matter-experts are brought in regularly to impart lectures and participate in conferences. The management and faculty support students to take part in sports and different hobbies. The well-connected campus has a gym, swimming pool, students’ activity center, and jogger’s park. For those interested in cultural programs, the University has an amphitheatre, Boat Club, and community center.

The library facilities are up-to-date with hundreds of books, journals, articles, and thesis that are judiciously kept by the administrative department. There are auditorium, workshop centers, central evaluation cell, and tech-business incubation center. The University offers residential accommodation to the staff and faculty. There is also a separate hostel for girls and another one for the boys. From food court to refreshment center, mess, and canteen, there is perhaps no dearth of hospitality shown by the management towards for people and the students residing in the campus area.

Well connected to the railway stations and main highway, the huge University complex offers the right ambience and facilities to the students who want to carry out their research work, get a Post Graduate degree, or become manager and engineers.
